Sorah Al-Fil ( The Elephant ) - Verses Number 5
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ ( 1 ) 
Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the Companions of the Elephant?
أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ ( 2 )
Did He not make their treacherous plan go astray?
وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ ( 3 )
And He sent against them Flights of Birds,
تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ ( 4 )
Striking them with stones of baked clay.
فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍ ( 5 )
Then did He make them like an empty field of stalks and straw, (of which the corn) has been eaten up.

It was found that the missing link between the Successor and the Prophet (SAS) might be one person, i.e. a Companion, or two persons, the extra person being an older Successor who heard the hadith from the Companion.'
