Sorah Al-Ma'un ( Small Kindnesses )

English - Transliteration

Sorah Al-Ma'un ( Small Kindnesses ) - Verses Number 7

أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ ( 1 )

Araayta allathee yukaththibu biddeen

فَذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ ( 2 )

Fathalika allathee yaduAAAAualyateem

وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ ( 3 )

Wala yahuddu AAalataAAami almiskeen

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ ( 4 )

Fawaylun lilmusalleen

الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ ( 5 )

Allatheena hum AAan salatihimsahoon

الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَ ( 6 )

Allatheena hum yuraoon

وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ ( 7 )

WayamnaAAoona almaAAoon

The Rights of ParentsIslam recognizes family as a basic social unit. Along with the husband-wife relationship the Parent-child relationship is the most important one. To maintain any social relationship both parties must have some clear-cut Rights as well as obligations. The relationships are reciprocal. Duties of one side are the Rights of the other side.
