Sorah Al-'alaq ( The Clot ) - Verses Number 19
اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ ( 1 ) 
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-
خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ ( 2 )
Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood:
اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ ( 3 )
Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,-
الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ ( 4 )
He Who taught (the use of) the pen,-
عَلَّمَ الْإِنسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ ( 5 )
Taught man that which he knew not.
كَلَّا إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَيَطْغَىٰ ( 6 )
Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds,
أَن رَّآهُ اسْتَغْنَىٰ ( 7 )
In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient.
إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ الرُّجْعَىٰ ( 8 )
Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all).
أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يَنْهَىٰ ( 9 )
Seest thou one who forbids-
عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰ ( 10 )
A votary when he (turns) to pray?
أَرَأَيْتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى الْهُدَىٰ ( 11 )
Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?-
أَوْ أَمَرَ بِالتَّقْوَىٰ ( 12 )
Or enjoins Righteousness?
أَرَأَيْتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ( 13 )
Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away?
أَلَمْ يَعْلَم بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَرَىٰ ( 14 )
Knoweth he not that Allah doth see?
كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمْ يَنتَهِ لَنَسْفَعًا بِالنَّاصِيَةِ ( 15 )
Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,-
نَاصِيَةٍ كَاذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ ( 16 )
A lying, sinful forelock!
فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُ ( 17 )
Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades):
سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ ( 18 )
We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)!
كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَاسْجُدْ وَاقْتَرِب ۩ ( 19 )
Day, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)!
