Sorah Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Verses Number 11
الْقَارِعَةُ ( 1 ) Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Ayaa 1
The Striking Calamity -
مَا الْقَارِعَةُ ( 2 ) Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Ayaa 2
What is the Striking Calamity?
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ ( 3 ) Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Ayaa 3
And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ ( 4 ) Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Ayaa 4
It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,
وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنفُوشِ ( 5 ) Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Ayaa 5
And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ ( 6 ) Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Ayaa 6
Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],
فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ ( 7 ) Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Ayaa 7
He will be in a pleasant life.
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ ( 8 ) Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Ayaa 8
But as for one whose scales are light,
فَأُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌ ( 9 ) Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Ayaa 9
His refuge will be an abyss.
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا هِيَهْ ( 10 ) Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Ayaa 10
And what can make you know what that is?
نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ ( 11 ) Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Ayaa 11
It is a Fire, intensely hot.

  • Rules Governing The Criticism Of HadithAn summarised text detailing the rules governing the Criticism of Hadeeth. From its introduction -'A hadith (pl. ahadith) is composed of two parts: the matn (text) and the isnad (chain of reporters). A text may seem to be logical and reasonable but it needs an authentic isnad with reliable reporters to be acceptable; 'Abdullah b. al-Mubarak (d. 181 AH) is reported to have said, "The isnad is part of the religion: had it not been for the isnad, whoever wished to would have said whatever he liked." During the lifetime of the Prophet (SAS) and after his death, his Companions (Sahabah) used to refer to him when quoting his sayings. The Successors (Tabi'un) followed suit; some of them used to quote the Prophet (SAS) through the Companions while others would omit the intermediate authority - such a hadith was known as mursal (loose). It was found that the missing link between the Successor and the Prophet (SAS) might be one person, i.e. a Companion, or two persons, the extra person being an older Successor who heard the hadith from the Companion.'

  • The Prophet's Prayer From The beginning To The End As Though You See ItThus this book would, Allah Willing, gather whatever is relevant to each topic from the various contents of the books of Hadith and the books on the differences between the Madhhabs, such that the correct verdicts found in this book would not be found totally in any one Madhhab. Hence the one acting on it, Allah Willing, would be among those whom Allah had guided "by His Grace to the Truth concerning that in which they differed, for Allah guides whom He will to a path that is straight."

  • Islam Its Foundations and ConceptsThe author said in the introduction, “I write this book to invite people to the religion of Allaah … I briefly explained herein the story of the creation of the Universe, the creation of man and how he was favoured by sending Messengers to him and situation of past religions. I afterwards made an introduction to Islaam as per its meaning and pillars. So, whoever is looking for guidance will find its evidences therein, whoever is looking for salvation may find that I have explained the way to it in this book, whoever desires to follow the track of the Prophets, Messengers and righteous people will find their path herein while those who turn away from their way only befools themselves and take to the straying path. It is a matter of fact that adherents of each religion call others to it and believe that truth only abide in their religion … Thousands of those who embraced Islaam have testified that they did not know real life until after they embraced Islaam and that they did never tasted happiness except under the shade of Islaam. Since it is a fact that every human being looks for happiness, peace of mind and truth, I prepare this work to help them achieve that. I pray that Allaah makes this work purely for His sake and let it be well-accepted and make it one of those righteous deeds that will benefit its doer in this world and the next.”
